Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 Test Ride Review
The bikes now get clear lens for the headlamp and turn indicators

Royal Enfield introduced their flagship motorcycles Continental GT 650 and Interceptor 650 last year. The bikes have been gathering tremendous attention in India as well as in the international markets. The Indian bike maker has now released an update with cosmetic changes that adds to the safety quotient of the bikes.

Both the RE 650 Twins now get a clear lens for the headlight. This looks better but most importantly adds to the safety due to the better brightness and throw, improving visibility at night.

Another change is done on the turn indicators which also get clear lens improving the brightness and visibility of the bike from the front.

Royal Enfield has also added amber reflectors on the outer fork legs. This helps improving the visibility of bike from the side in the dark. All these cosmetic changes improve the safety of the Continental GT 650 and Interceptor 650. However, these features were already present in the international spec models sold in US and Europe complying with their safety standards.

With this update, there are no changes in the pricing of the flagships. The Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 comes with a starting price of Rs. 2.56 lakhs while the Continental GT 650 starts from Rs. 2.71 lakhs (all prices, ex-showroom, Delhi).
