2021 Maruti Celerio Spied While On Test In India

The car has grown in size, is expected to be roomier inside

The 2021 Maruti Celerio has been spied testing on Indian roads and there are many differences when compared to the current car.

Upon first glance, its obvious that the car has grown a bit in terms of length and height, possibly due to it sharing its platform with the Swift.

This heavily disguised test mule also has ORVMs with indicators and the alloy wheels that have been poached from the Swift. No image of the front of the car could be accessed, but the side and rear profiles can be seen in the pictures.

Down the sides, we can see a pretty wide glass area and also a sneak peek into the cabin that shows typical Maruti styling on the 2021 Maruti Celerio spied car. At the back, we can see a substantial area for the bumper and a tailgate that ends high.

We suspect the test mule is one of the top variants for it features, as stated above, alloy wheels and indicators on the outside mirrors. It also gets a rear wiper and might get projector headlights with DRLs and LED tail lights.

As with the current trend, expect the hatchback that sits below the Swift to come with lots of features, at least on the top trim and the one below it.

So, it will have a new touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic AC, steering mounted controls, parking assist with rear view camera, speed sensor, ABS, EBD and dual front airbags as standard.

Hopefully this is not the last of the 2021 Maruti Celerio spied car’s sighting. Launch of the new Celerio is expected by 2021 and expect the model to powered by the same or updated powertrain with two gearbox options.
