Next-Gen Ford Endeavour Development In Full Swing

It still has a massive appearance, does the Endeavour

The next-generation Ford Endeavour, to be unveiled in 2022, has been spotted on test runs in Melbourne, Australia.

Due to arrive in showrooms in the Land Down Under early next year, where it will be sold as the new Ford Everest, the SUV has entered final stages of testing.

Much of the current generation Endeavour’s core body structure is said to have been carried over for the next-generation model, meaning it will still be a brutish SUV.

Now, the sheet metal is new and as the images of the 2022 Ford Endeavour spotted in Australia show, the SUV will come with a bolder front fascia inspired by the carmaker’s F-series pickup trucks.

All the lights will be new as well, but, apart from the front profile, the new Endeavour could have an evolutionary design and not look too different from the current model.

But, what will be new for the 2022 Endeavour is that it will come with a longer dash-to-front-axle ratio in order to be able to accommodate a V6 turbo diesel which will be offered in top-spec variants sold overseas.

In India, when Ford launches it, the new Endeavour is likely to continue with the current 2.0-litre EcoBlue diesel motor and 10-speed auto combination. In addition, the SUV has also been developed to adopt hybrid technology.

No interior image of the 2022 Ford Endeavour spotted on test is available as of now, but, as with most new vehicles, the SUV should come with a digital instrument display, a large touchscreen with the latest connectivity tech and a full suite of advanced safety systems.

Like its predecessor, the new Endeavour should come with impressive ride quality on road, while still retaining its rugged off-road capabilities in 4×4 form.

The powertrain offered with the current model should be carried over for use in the new Endeavour
