2022 Honda BR-V Patent Images Show N7X Concept In Production Guise

Unlike the previous generation model, the new one looks crisp

Honda has registered the patent images of the 2022 BR-V in Indonesia

Patent images of the 2022 Honda BR-V, registered in Indonesia, have surfaced online, confirming that the N7X concept and the new BR-V are one and the same.

In May, Honda showcased the N7X, a 7-seat concept SUV that also had an MPV-esque demeanour while sporting contemporary styling.

While many speculated that the N7X will become the next BR-V when put into production, Honda was, naturally, tight-lipped about it.

Let us hope these wheels do not make it to production

Now, thanks to the leaked 2022 Honda BR-V patent images, speculations have been put to rest. The new BR-V will stay true to the N7X concept and feature modern lighting units connected by a thick slab-like trim that sits above the 3-slat radiator grille.

A splitter is present before the lower air intake, while there are fog lights on either side of it. It is not clear if the concept’s additional DRLs situated above the fog lamps will be carried forward or not.

The side profile of the vehicle remains the same, save for the wheels, and nothing seems to have changed at the rear as well, meaning, the 7-seat SUV will come with split LED tail lamps, large tail gate and a skid plate.

It should be a practical car, but the usability of the last row of seats is to be seen

Like any new car, the 2022 BR-V should come with tonnes of features, including some of Honda Sensing advanced safety systems.

While the Honda N7X is currently on a tour across Indonesia, its production version should be unveiled later this year, before being put on sale later this year or early next year in several markets across the globe.
