2023 Tata Safari Spotted Camouflaged, To Get ADAS

The SUV will get cosmetic tweaks to freshen up the look

2023 Tata Safari spotted testing in camouflage, launch by mid-2023

2023 Tata Safari spotted yet again wearing camouflage. The facelifted model is expected to hit the showrooms in India by mid-2023. Spotted by MotorBeamer Samarth.

The Safar has been doing very well in terms of sales of late. The carmaker has introduced a number of special editions and updated the features of the car over time to make it relevant in the market.

On the other hand Mahindra XUV700 and Scorpio-N have started eating the sales of the Safari. They are ramping up the production as well to cut the delivery time. That’s where Tata Motors had the opportunity of selling the Safari while Mahindra SUVs had long waiting period.

Now that Mahindra’s production issue will be sorted soon, Tata needs to worry about the sales of the Safari and Harrier. With the introduction of the facelifted Safari, they will be able to get the attention back to their flagship vehicle in the segment.

To get that attention, Tata needs to offer some significant changes to the SUV. They need to introduce ADAS (that they are testing) which is one of the USPs of the XUV700. They need to offer a better touchscreen infotainment system and 360 degree camera among other features.

While the prototype is camouflaged, we believe Tata will offer minor cosmetic changes to make the car look fresh. The interior is also expected to come with a new colour theme and uphosltery.

Launch expected by mid-2023
