2024 Tata Safari Interior Inspired From Range Rover

The automatic gear selector lever looks modern and more compact than before

2024 Tata Safari interiors leaked ahead of debut

The 2024 Tata Safari is not going to be just your regular facelift, it will get a lot of new changes, specially for the interiors. A prototype’s interior has recently been spotted revealing more details of the cabin.

While we do have an idea about the changes, seen on the Harrier EV concept at the Auto Expo 2023, there are some interesting details on this test mule. It comes with a compact gear select lever which looks very similar to the one seen on the new Range Rover.

There is a rotary knob too ahead of the lever which seems to be having a digital display that made its debut in the Nexon EV. While it is used as a gear select lever on the EV, we believe this will be used as a mode selector in the Safari to select terrain modes or drive modes in the SUV.

Along with these new elements, you can notice the electronic parking brake button and the auto hold function which is carried forward from the existing model.

The centre console seems to be featuring a new floating curved touchscreen, which is also present in the new generation Land Rovers. We hope it is larger in size and offers seamless user interface.

You can expect some changes on the dashboard like new materials or colour options. Tata Motors loves using piano black elements which looks good when clean but attracts a lot of finger prints, micro scratches and reflects a lot of light.

The steering wheel is new which we have seen in the new concept cars. It is a two-spoke unit that comes with some premium elements and most likely an illuminated Tata logo panel in between.

The Safari will continue to get the Fiat sourced 2.0-litre diesel engine that produces 170 PS and 350 Nm of torque. It is mated to a 6-speed manual and automatic transmission options. The Indian carmaker will also offer an all-electric version of the Safar with up to 500 km of range on full charge.
