Pulsar 220 vs Apache 180 vs Karizma R

The 25 top selling bikes chart in November 2017 sees the usual Honda Activa and Hero Splendor dominance in the domestic 2-wheeler market.

November has been a pretty dull month for the 2-wheeler industry in India. The month saw sales of 13.97 lakh 2-wheelers as compared to sales of 15.41 lakh units in October 2017. All Bajaj, TVS and Yamaha vehicles in the list have registered a negative growth in sales. The chart above is self-explanatory and let’s take you through the other 2-wheelers that couldn’t make it to the above list and also how have the new launches faired when it comes to volumes.

The Let’s and Hayate continue to sell in smaller numbers (980 and 416 respectively). Yamaha’s Ray, FZ25 (including the Fazer 25) and R15 contributed 11,275, 2584 and 2514 units respectively to the cumulative sales of the Japanese bike maker.

The Pulsar 220, in spite of being in the Indian market for almost a decade, manages to average better sales than some recently launched models like the V. 5207 units of the Pulsar 220 were sold in November while the V15 and V12 contributed 5040 and 1802 units to Bajaj’s cumulative sales in November.

The XL Super and Jupiter continue to rake in the volumes for TVS. Sales of the Scooty Pep+ fell by over 4300 units in November.
