November has been a pretty dull month for the 2-wheeler industry in India. The month saw sales of 13.97 lakh 2-wheelers as compared to sales of 15.41 lakh units in October 2017. All Bajaj, TVS and Yamaha vehicles in the list have registered a negative growth in sales. The chart above is self-explanatory and let’s take you through the other 2-wheelers that couldn’t make it to the above list and also how have the new launches faired when it comes to volumes.

The newly launched Suzuki Intruder 150 has managed to sell 2325 units in November while the famous Gixxer series sold 3739 units. The Let’s and Hayate continue to sell in smaller numbers (980 and 416 respectively). Yamaha’s Ray, FZ25 (including the Fazer 25) and R15 contributed 11,275, 2584 and 2514 units respectively to the cumulative sales of the Japanese bike maker.

Royal Enfield sold a total of 67,776 2-wheelers in November. Apart from the best-selling Classic 350, the automaker sold 9280, 3731 and 3 units of the Bullet 350, Thunderbird 350 and Continental GT 535 respectively. Homegrown automaker Bajaj sold a total of 1,41,948 2-wheelers in the month of November (including 2815 units of KTM bikes).

The Pulsar 220, in spite of being in the Indian market for almost a decade, manages to average better sales than some recently launched models like the V. 5207 units of the Pulsar 220 were sold in November while the V15 and V12 contributed 5040 and 1802 units to Bajaj’s cumulative sales in November.

The XL Super and Jupiter continue to rake in the volumes for TVS. Sales of the Scooty Pep+ fell by over 4300 units in November. The scooter sold 6935 units in November as opposed to 11,288 units in October 2017. The Scooty Zest and Wego sold 4284 and 2312 units respectively while the TVS Sport sold 10,625 units in November. With its extensive scooter line-up, Honda manages to sell over 4.32 lakh 2-wheelers in the domestic market.

The recently launched Honda Grazia scooter has been received well by the Indian folks. Sales of the Grazia in November was 17,047 units. Meanwhile, the Navi, CLIQ, CB Hornet 160R and CBR650F sold 1459, 3154, 7174 and 10 units respectively. There is still no word from Honda on the launch timeline of the updated (BS4) CBR150R and CBR250R.

Except for the Hero HF Dawn, Achiever and Xtreme, all other Hero bikes can be seen in the list above. The HF Dawn sold 102 units while the Achiever and Xtreme sold 1432 and 1693 units last month.
