Audi has launched the Q3 compact SUV in the Indian market today. The German automaker has limited the initial bookings to 500 units as the initial lot is brought via the CBU route and Audi plans to locally assemble the vehicle at its Aurangabad facility later this year. The Q3 vehicle will be available across all 19 Audi dealerships, which will be increased to 25 by the end of the year. The Audi Q3 is powered by a 2.0 TDI engine which produces 177 BHP of power output at 4200 RPM and 380 Nm of torque output between 1750 – 2500 RPM. Power is delivered to all wheels via Audi’s quattro system and the engine is mated to a 7-speed S-Tronic DCT gearbox. The Audi Q3 is available in two variants – base grade and high grade.

“The Q3 is immediately recognizable as the youngest member of the Audi Q family. Now we are starting the next chapter of our success story. We are confident that Audi Q3 will repeat the success of Audi Q5 and Audi Q7 and further consolidate our leadership position in the luxury SUV segment. The Audi Q3 positioning of “start young” clearly defines the category and segment that we are targeting,” Michael Perschke, Head, Audi India.

Audi has priced the Q3 base grade variant at Rs. 26.21 lakhs, while the Audi Q3 high grade variant is priced at Rs. 31.49 lakhs (all prices ex-showroom, Maharashtra). The base variant gets 16-inch alloy wheels, roof rails, halogen headlights with separate daytime running lights, ESP, space saving spare wheel, 6-airbags, hill start assist, manual AC, electronic parking brake, cruise control, driver electric seat adjust.
