DC2 Reveals Custom Body Kit For 2021 Mahindra Thar

Folks at DC2 (formerly DC Design) have created a body kit for the 2021 Mahindra Thar. According to the firm, the dress kit makes “Hummers look weak and insipid”.

This custom body kit completely revises the look of the new Thar, making it a macho vehicle indeed. Let us start with the changes made to the front.

There is a new 7-slat radiator grille, slimmer projector headlights, restyled bonnet with a massive bulge and a completely revised bumper.

Moving along, the front bumper extends into the wheel arches that are wider than on the stock car to accommodate those massive steel rims and off-road tyres.

One can also see that the car has been raised which has resulted in loads of extra ground clearance. So, scraping the underside when on rough terrain should not be a worry.

Also, the hardtop has been redesigned. At the back, there are new tail lamps, and a new bumper to complete the design overhaul.

No interior images have been revealed by DC. But having done such extensive work to the exterior bits, we can assume that Dilip Chhabria and team would have worked on the insides of the car as well.

Although DC2 Design has worked hard on the looks department, we expect the drivetrain to remain stock.

The 2021 Mahindra Thar DC2 body kit will reportedly go on sale sometime in November. It will appeal to those who want their Thar to sport a bespoke look and would not mind spending a few lakh rupees for the same. Note that Mahindra does offer plenty of official accessories for the 2021 Thar.
