Eider Motors To Launch 250cc Street-Fighter, Showcases At Dealer

Eider’s 250cc bike is called ZF-Kymco and comes with funky styling similar to the Benelli offerings and will be launched in June this year.

The Eider 250cc bike uses a water-cooled, single-cylinder engine, power is unknown

Eider Motors is a newly formed two-wheeler company from the newly formed state of Telangana that is slowly and steadily expanding its base across the country. With its presence in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and home market Telangana, Eider recently opened its first dealership in Maharashtra at Ulhasnagar near Mumbai. While the home-grown bike maker’s showrooms currently have five products on display ranging from 125cc to 150cc, our reader Julian Bennet paid a visit to the Eider showroom in Chennai recently and spotted a new 250cc street-fighter offering put up on display.

Branded as the ZF-Kymco, this is the new 250cc offering from Eider Motors which shares a striking resemblance to the newly launched Benelli TNT offerings. Julian further stated that the dealer did not have a price for this vehicle at present but said that it will be launched by mid-June this year. As seen in these images, the bike uses a very Benelli like triangular shaped headlight cluster and gets bulbous front fenders with aggressive lines running throughout the bike. The design may seem a bit loud to a few with the front body cladding being a bit of an overkill.

The Eider ZF-Kymco features a good looking tail light cluster while the petal shaped turn indicators are one-of-a-kind. The bike also gets split seats, telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock suspension setup at the rear while stopping power comes from disc brakes at the front and rear. The exhaust muffler though seems to be heavily inspired by the one on the Honda CBR250R while also featuring the same black and silver finish. The engine is said to be a 250cc water-cooled, single-cylinder engine and the official power figures are yet to be revealed.

When Julian was at the Eider showroom the last time, Eider Motors’ representatives told him that the company will be launching its new lineup in May this year with prices starting from around Rs. 50,000/- for the Leora scooter going up to Rs. 95,000/- for the Dronzer premium 150cc motorcycle (all prices, on-road Chennai). Expect complete details on the 250cc offering to be available next month, once the company officially commences operations.
