Harley-Davidson Roadster & Road Glide Special launched in India, priced at Rs. 9.70 lakhs and Rs. 32.81 lakhs respectively. Deliveries commence from November.

Harley-Davidson India launches two new bikes with new engines

Harley-Davidson has launched two new products for their Indian portfolio including the Roadster that is priced at Rs. 9.70 lakhs (all prices ex-showroom, Delhi) and the Road Glide Special that gets a price tag of Rs. 32.81 lakhs. The American bike maker has also announced ABS as standard across the range for 2017 motorcycles.

Harley-Davidson has also introduced their new Milwaukee-Eight engine which is another Big-Twin engine from the bike maker. It is claimed to offer more power, quicker throttle response, purer sound and a smoother ride. It is available in two displacements – Milwaukee-Eight 107 1745cc featuring precision oil-cooled cylinder heads and Twin-Cooled Milwaukee-Eight 114 1870cc featuring liquid-cooled cylinder heads.

The Harley-Davidson Roadster is the latest addition to the company’s Sportster family. The bike looks classy and is more performance oriented offering high low-end torque and agility for cornering hard. The Roadster will be assembled at Harley-Davidson’s plant in Bawal, Haryana.

Harley-Davidson Road Glide Special

The Harley-Davidson Road Glide Special is imported to India via the CBU route. The big and hefty touring motorcycle features Reflex dual disc linked Brembo brakes with ABS and fancy Daymaker LED headlamps. It also comes with a car-like touch screen infotainment system that offers entertainment on the go.

ABS is now standard across all Harley-Davidson families – Street, Sportster, Dyna, Softail and Touring models in India. The Street 750 now comes with a new tank badge and optional two-tone colours including Vivid Black Deluxe and Fire Red Deluxe.
