Hero Discontinues 3 Bikes Due To Low Sales; Increase Prices

Hero Splendor iSmart Review

Hero MotoCorp pulls the plug on the Splendor iSmart, Splendor Pro Classic and the HF Dawn.

The Splendor iSmart was offered with a 97cc i3S technology engine

Hero Motocorp has revamped its motorcycle line-up and has called it quits for three motorcycles, the Splendor iSmart, Splendor Pro Classic and the HF Dawn. All the three bikes have been removed from the official website of Hero.

The Splendor iSmart had to go since it used the 97cc Honda engine and moreover, Hero had already made a successor ready to the Splendor iSmart with its own engine. The HF Dawn was a slow-seller since it was launched and hence has been axed from the line-up. This now makes the HF Deluxe as the most affordable motorcycle in Hero’s portfolio.

The third motorcycle that Hero has discontinued is the Splendor Pro Classic. Being the cheapest Cafe Racer available in India also did not make the Splendor Pro Classic find many buyers. Hero failed to give it the BS4 update too and is of the opinion that working on it will not be of any worth.

There are rumours that Hero is planning to shelve even more models from its line-up, however, we still are waiting for an official communication from the 2-wheeler manufacturer.
