Honda To Launch Livo 110 Bike In July, Starts Promotion

The Honda Livo will replace the CB Twister 110cc motorcycle with the company commencing advertising activities ahead of the launch this month.

The Honda Livo is expected to be priced around Rs. 55,000/- (ex-showrom)

With seven more products to be introduced for the remainder of the year, Honda is kickstarting round two of its launch spree with the Livo 110cc commuter motorcycle that has been spotted testing on a number of occasions in the past. As these new spy shots suggest, the automaker has commenced advertising and marketing campaign for the upcoming motorcycle that will be replacing the low selling CB Twister in the company’s lineup. The banners seen here were spotted at Honda’s dealerships and showcase the bikini fairing mounted on the fuel tank of the Livo; while the tagline ‘Time To Live’ is a precursor to the bike name.

The 2015 Honda Livo will be the company’s new premium 110cc commuter producing 9 BHP of power and 8 Nm of torque, paired to a 4-speed gearbox. The engine will also get Honda Eco Technology (HET) for enhanced efficiency in addition to tall gearing, so expect fuel economy to exceed the 60 km/l mark. In terms of design, the motorcycle will be taking cues from the new CB Unicorn 160, which has been accepted with its commuter-ish looks despite the sporty styling. The instrument cluster has already been spotted and will be a dual pod unit with basic features.

Honda isn’t really doing well with the Dream series motorcycles in the lower-end of the 110cc segment (all three combined sold only 39,710 units in May). The CB Twister barely scraped the surface and its overpriced nature didn’t help matters either. With the Livo’s arrival, the Twister is more likely to be put to rest in a phased manner if not immediately, as the Livo is expected to offer improved practicality, more equipment and a realistic pricing. Prices for the 2015 Honda Livo are expected to be around Rs. 55,000/- (ex-showroom).
