Husqvarna 401 Concept Duo Headed For Production In 2017

Husqvarna’s seductive off-roaders, the Vitpilen and the Svartpilen to go into production. The models are expected to go on sale from 2017.

The Vitpilen is very flat across its top which gives it the street look

It is confirmed that the two beauties of Husqvarna are going into production. The Vitpilen 401 and the Svartpilen 401 which were showcased at the Milan Motorcycle Show in November will be manufactured from 2017. The bikes when available to the customers may have changes from that of the concept, as the concept is a dream version and the commercialised bikes will have restrictions to follow in the making. But the overall styling of the bikes will remain the same. The Swedish brand is excited to bring the sprint motorcycles into production and it is just matter of years and you will see it on Indian roads.

The Vitpilen 401 also known as the “White Arrow” features engine sourced from KTM RC 390 and Duke 390. The bike is inspired from the 1953 Silverpilen of the company. The motorcycle has a minimum frame and body work to give it better manoeuvrability. It has a liquid-cooled 4-stroke engine, the on sale version will produce around 40 horsepower. The Vitpilen has slick tyres with great grip which makes it an amazing off-roader. The street bike is high quality with a rich sense of heritage from its iconic maker Husqvarna.

The Svartpilen 401 drops a little attitude with its dark colour and a slightly wider body frame. The motorcycle also has a similar KTM RC 390 and Duke 390 single-cylinder engine. The Svartpilen, meaning the “Black arrow” in Swedish is analogous to the Vitpilen with slightly sharper body design. It carries this design to appeal to owners. The Vitpilen and the Svartpilen have a delicious rhythm when they go together. The finely engineered duo when produced may come for sale in India, as Bajaj Auto has ownership in KTM and these bikes are likely to be produced in India.

The Husqvarna duo has similar features like the KTM 390’s with a 375cc engine
