Hyundai Venue Gets ADAS, Replaces iMT With 6-Speed MT

Hyundai Venue N Line Features

Hyundai Venue now comes with ADAS Level 1

Hyundai has introduced ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) Level 1 to the Venue, which is available only in the SX(O) trim of the standard Venue and N8 trim of the Venue N Line. The carmaker has also replaced the iMT transmission on the 1.0-litre turbo petrol with 6-speed MT. The updated Venue is now priced from Rs. 10.32 lakhs to Rs. 13.89 lakhs (ex-showroom).

ADAS Level 1 features of the Hyundai Venue includes – Forward Collision Warning, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist – Car, Pedestrian & Cycle, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Driver Attention Warning, Lane Following Assist, High Beam Assist and Leading Vehicle Departure Alert.

Hyundai Venue becomes the first compact SUV in its segment to get ADAS, which is known as Hyundai SmartSense in the company’s official language. With this update, Hyundai now offers ADAS in Ioniq 5, Tucson, Verna and Venue.

There are no other visual tweaks or mechanical updates in the car apart from the fact that Hyundai has now discontinued iMT with the 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine and instead they are offering 6-speed manual.

Hyundai continue to offer three engine options with the Venue – 1.2-litre naturally aspirated Kappa petrol engine, 1.0-litre Kappa Turbo GDi petrol engine and U2 1.5-litre diesel engine option.

The 1.2-litre NA petrol engine produces 83 PS and 113.8 Nm torque, it is available with a 5-speed manual transmission only. The 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine produces 120 PS and 172 Nm torque, it is available with 6-speed MT and 7-speed DCT. The 1.5-litre diesel engine produces 116 PS and 250 Nm torque. It is available with 6-speed manual transmission only.

Hyundai has made the battle fierce in the compact SUV segment with the revised variants of Venue ahead of the festive season. It competes with the Tata Nexon (which just got a facelift), Kia Sonet (about to get a facelift), Maruti Brezza and Mahindra XUV300 (facelift coming soon).
