Jawa Motorycles to take bookings for a 3-month cycle.

The Jawa Perak deliveries will commence from April 2020

The Mahindra subsidiary introduced itself last year with two bikes – The Jawa and the Jawa Forty Two. The brand has recently come up with the most affordable bobber motorcycle for India named as the Perak. Since the brand has received a lot of appreciation along with a significant increase in the number of bookings, they plan to streamline their production operations to sit in accordance with the delivery schedule.

In its rudimentary stage, Jawa had received an excellent response for the bookings that they had to close the same merely after 40 days of the launch. So much so, the brand was sold out till September 2019 for the Jawa and the Jawa Forty Two.

The brand is on deck to ensure smoother delivery operations (even compensated the ones who didn’t get the bike on their scheduled date). Because of the 3000 suppliers, the brand is able to ensure that this happens. The customer feedback was also taken care of as per them, all the issues regarding the fuel tank rust, noise from the rear brake were paid heed to. However, Perak’s introduction per se may hamper the plan slightly. Additionally, they have also hinted that there will be upcoming offerings as well.

Moreover, the company proposes a new idea of taking bookings for a 3-month cycle. Only when the bikes in stock will be booked and delivered, they shall start with the subsequent cycle. Earlier, the company just had over 700 suppliers due to which the shortage in stock became evident. The production for all the three bikes undergoes at Mahindra’s Pithampur plant in Madhya Pradesh. Although, the company didn’t reveal its production capacity of the plant.

Coming to their newest addition, the Jawa Perak costs Rs. 1,94,500/- (ex-showroom). The power unit is a BS6 compliant, 334 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. It produces 30.4 PS of power with 31 Nm of peak torque which couples with a 6-speed gearbox. Furthermore, the brand is in a very worthwhile position with 110 outlets spanning across the country.
