Jeep reintroduces heritage-themed Wrangler Willys ’41 with revised price and allocation
Jeep has reintroduced the Wrangler Willys ’41 Special Edition in India for the 2026 model year, announcing a revised ex-showroom price of Rs. 70.31 lakhs. The new price is lower than the previous launch figure, while the company has slightly increased availability this time with a limited allocation of 41 units.
The Willys ’41 edition is based on the range-topping Rubicon variant and continues to focus primarily on cosmetic distinctions and accessory enhancements rather than mechanical changes. The highlight remains the exclusive military-inspired “41 Green” exterior shade, referencing the colour used on early Willys military Jeeps. Buyers can also choose from other standard body colours such as white, red, black and blue. A “1941” hood decal further emphasises the heritage-inspired theme.
Jeep has bundled several accessories as part of the standard package, including powered side steps, additional interior grab handles, all-weather floor mats and front as well as rear dash cameras. Customers can also opt for an extended accessory pack at extra cost, adding items such as a roof carrier with an integrated ladder and a Sunrider-style rooftop. The optional bundle has been priced lower than before, making the add-ons comparatively more accessible.
Mechanically, the SUV remains unchanged. The special edition continues with the familiar 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 272 HP and 400 Nm, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and Jeep’s full-time 4×4 system as standard. Off-road hardware and capability therefore remain identical to the Rubicon on which it is based.
With the reintroduction of the Willys ’41 edition, Jeep is once again targeting collectors and off-road enthusiasts seeking a more distinctive version of the Wrangler while retaining the core performance and capability of the standard model.
