Kawasaki Delivers 20 Z800 Superbikes In A Day In Pune

Kawasaki’s Wakdewadi showroom in Pune has just delivered 20 Kawasaki Z800 bikes in one day creating a record in the superbike segment in India.

There is no report of similar number of superbikes sold in one day in India

For the first time in superbike history, the Kawasaki India Wakdewadi showroom in Pune delivered a staggering 20 Kawasaki Z800 motorcycles in a single day, which is by far the most number of superbikes sold on a single day in India and might also be the case in the world. The Japanese company seems to have sold more black coloured Z800s than green but the bike looks mean in both these shades.

Launched in 2014, the Kawasaki Z800 was an appealing replacement of the Kawasaki Z750 and carries a very mean and aggressive design language, unlike any other bike in the same segment. While there is little to fault with this Kwacker, the 806cc engine puts out 113 PS of power and 83 Nm of torque when the throttle is pulled back. The Z800 reaches 100 km/hr from standstill in a mere 3.5 seconds and you can hit a top speed in excess of 230 km/hr.

The Z800 excels on almost all fronts and is the most affordable 4-cylinder motorcycle in the country, that is till the Benelli range is launched next week. The Kawasaki Z800 is a well refined and brilliantly put together motorcycle and it comes as little surprise that this green machine has already built up a very big fan following in India.

The Kawasaki Z800 is an excellent stepping stone to the world of superbikes. The bike is offered with quite a range of accessories such as visors, axle sliders, engine guards and tank pads; and is also very attractively priced taking into consideration that it is brought in via the fully imported and expensive CBU route. Kawasaki recently reduced prices of the Z800 in India for a limited time which has surely resulted in an increase in demand, the company did not increase the price in spite of an increase in excise duty.

The bike offers terrific performance and stays planted at high triple digit speeds
