KTM 250cc Twin Cylinder Bike Launch Not Happening

2017 KTM Duke 250

Two-wheeler manufacturer KTM does not have any plans to launch a twin cylinder 250cc bike.

The Duke 250 is powered by a single cylinder 248.8cc engine

KTM currently has a lot of motorcycles in its line-up, ranging from 125cc. However, all the bikes from 125cc to 690cc have a single-cylinder engine and a twin cylinder engine is offered from the 1090 Adventure range. The 790 Duke will soon get a twin cylinder engine but the company has denied any possibility of a twin cylinder quarter litre bike.

The KTM Duke 250 and RC 250 are offered with a 248.8cc engine which is a single cylinder unit. It belts out 31 PS of power at 9000 RPM and 24 Nm of torque at 7250 RPM. The engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission. Talking about future launches, KTM will be launching the new generation Duke 390 in India in the near future.
