KTM Introduces 4-Year Standard Warranty For Road Bikes In Overseas Markets

KTM introduces four-year warranty for road bikes across global markets

KTM has announced a new warranty programme for its global motorcycle lineup, offering a four-year standard warranty on all road-legal models manufactured from the 2025 model year onwards. The move applies to international markets and is intended to provide customers with greater confidence in the brand’s motorcycles.

The updated coverage replaces the earlier two-year standard warranty that applied to many KTM models. Under the new policy, all street-legal motorcycles produced from 2025 onward will receive four years of warranty protection. However, the programme does not extend to off-road or track-only machines, which remain outside the scope of this coverage.

The new warranty also applies to the single-cylinder motorcycles produced by Bajaj Auto, including KTM’s smaller-capacity models. At the same time, larger multi-cylinder motorcycles built at KTM’s other manufacturing facilities around the world will also fall under the same four-year coverage.

An important feature of the programme is that the warranty is linked to the motorcycle rather than the owner. This means that if the vehicle is sold within the four-year period, the remaining warranty can continue for the next owner, provided the motorcycle has been maintained according to KTM’s authorised service guidelines.

The warranty policy applies only to overseas markets. In India, KTM motorcycles already come with a five-year standard warranty, which can be extended up to ten years as an optional package. With this update, the company appears to be aligning its global aftersales support with changing customer expectations while strengthening confidence in its product lineup.
