KTM Adventure Motorcycles Spotted In India

KTM is on a roll in India with their Duke 200 and recently launched Duke 390. We all know that the Bajaj-KTM alliance has decided to bring the entire KTM range to India in the distant future. But here comes the big surprise. The KTM 950 Adventure and KTM 1190 Adventure were spotted testing in India near Kolar a few weeks back. Nobody was anticipating the launch of bigger Adventure bikes from KTM to come so soon. But it looks like the launch might happen sooner than expected and Bajaj-KTM is likely to use the Indian factory to produce these big machines which could be exported.

The KTM 950 Adventure is powered by a liquid-cooled 942cc V-Twin DOHC engine. It produces a peak power of 102 HP, which is more than enough for dirt tracks and cruising on the highways. The larger 1190 Adventure is powered by a 1195cc V-Twin engine producing 150 HP of power. It has the best features you can get in the market like Combined-ABS (with an off-road mode), MTC (Motorcycle Traction Control, which made its debut recently) and TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System).

The KTM Duke 690 and the RC390 were the next expected launches from KTM. May be the company is thinking of different plans. There is also a possibility that the company is testing the Adventure Motorcycles which are produced in India for the world markets. Bajaj-KTM alliance have earlier stated that no KTM motorcycles will be sold in India as a CBU. So considering all the previous reports and the recent spotting, joy time is very near for explorers in our country who are looking for a high-end adventure bike with a decent price tag.
