Lamborghini Celebrates 50th Anniversary With Grand Tour

Automobili Lamborghini was founded five decades ago as a luxury sportscar maker which is now owned by the Volkswagen Group through its German subsidiary, Audi. The Raging Bull turns 50 this year and Lamborghini has arranged a Grand Tour with the largest gathering ever of 350 Lamborghinis in the parc fermè at Piazza Castello. 29 different countries are participating in the Lamborghini 50th Anniversary Grand Tour in Italy. Maximum representation of participants in the Lamborghini Grand Tour was noticed from the U.K. with 71 cars followed by Italy, Germany and Switzerland with over 30 participants each.

The Lamborghini 50th Anniversary Grand Tour witnessed 21 cars participating from the USA and 17 coming from China. Other participating countries included Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, France, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Ireland, Japan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, India, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Principato di Monaco, Tunisia and Ukraine. The youngest participant is 22 years old coming all the way from Kuwait, while the oldest representative is 75 and is a French national. Gautam Singhania who is an avid Lamborghini fan is participating too.

Amongst the 350 Lamborghinis, there were few historic cars too, participating in the tour, which includes Lamborghini 350 GT, 400 GT, Miura, Espada, Jarama, Urraco, Countach, LM 002, Diablo and Murcielago. Out of all the Lamborghinis, the Gallardo managed to register 123 cars in the Grand Tour, making it the most successful model from the Italian stable. The Lamborghini 50th Anniversary Grand Tour will come to an end on the 11th of May in Sant’Agata Bolognese, headquarters of Lamborghini.
