The Ssangyong Rexton sold a decent 121 units shortly after its launch and up till December last year 1300 units of the Rexton had been booked, which is pretty good considering SsangYong is a completely new brand in India with no prior history here. During its launch, Mahindra had announced that they aim for a production capacity of 5000 units per year and already with sales meeting targets, they are ramping up production to keep their customers happy.

Mahindra also added that they already have upped the production of the Quanto, the sales of which have gone up along with the hugely popular XUV500. The India car manufacturer also announced that that they will launch two new products in the first quarter of the year. First will be the sub 4-metre Verito and the second is the Reva E2O electric car. In the last 3 months of 2012, Mahindra registered a growth in sales by 33 percent due to launch of the Quanto and Rexton and they expect similar growth after the launch of the upcoming products as well.
