Maruti Invicto, Excursio & Plazeria Trademarked, 6 New Cars Planned?

The name Invicto is similar to the word invictus, which means unconquered

If you are wondering about the upcoming Maruti cars in 2021, well, we’ve got one thing confirmed, the names of the new products! Yes, Maruti Suzuki has now trademarked three new names.

Last week we revealed three names – Espaco, Libertas and Solido. This time around there are three more names added to the list – Invicto, Excursio & Plazeria.

So we can expect 6 all-new products from India’s largest carmaker in 2021. Which might be possible because they haven’t introduced an all-new product since the Maruti S-Press that was launched in 2019.

The pandemic year 2020 saw no new products from Maruti apart from a few updates/facelifts. They were also busy updating their powertrains to BS6 this year along with new S-CNG options for their lineup since they said sayonara to diesel engines.

After getting the emission norms and other updates sorted, it seems like Maruti Suzuki is planning to go product offensive in 2021 with 6 new products.

Right now it’s tricky to guess which name belongs to which car. However, we can guesstimate the products that are in the pipeline and were spotted on test of late.

There’s a production version of Maruti Futuro-e electric car coming next year. Then there’s a new SUV in the pipeline that will be positioned above the Vitara Brezza and compete with the Hyundai Creta.

A Wagon R based MPV is said to be underworks as well, which will be a 7-seater and will be positioned under the Maruti Ertiga. A Desi version of the Suzuki Solio that was spotted on test a lot of times in Delhi-NCR is under consideration too.

And finally, of course, the next generation Celerio and Alto are expected to launch very soon in a new avatar. Maruti is likely to change their names and give them a new life altogether.
