Maruti Suzuki has revised the pricing of the e Vitara, marking the first price increase for the electric SUV since its introduction in the Indian market. The latest update affects select variants, while the entry-level version continues to retain its original pricing.
According to the revised price list, the base Delta variant remains unchanged at Rs. 16 lakhs (ex-showroom). However, the mid-spec Zeta variant has become costlier by Rs. 30,000, making it the most affected trim in the range. Meanwhile, the top-spec Alpha and Alpha Dual-Tone variants now command a premium of Rs. 20,000 over their previous prices.
Following the revision, the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara is now priced between Rs. 16 lakhs and Rs. 20.21 lakhs (ex-showroom). The electric SUV is available in three trims – Delta, Zeta and Alpha. It can be configured in a choice of ten exterior colour options.
Built on a platform shared with the Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella, the e Vitara forms an important part of Maruti Suzuki’s electric vehicle strategy in India. The model competes in the growing midsize electric SUV segment, taking on rivals such as the Hyundai Creta Electric, Tata Harrier EV, Tata Curvv EV, MG Windsor EV, MG ZS EV, Mahindra BE 6 and the VinFast VF 6.
The latest price revision comes amid increasing competition in the EV space, where manufacturers continue to balance product positioning, input costs and evolving consumer demand.
