Maruti Vitara Brezza AMT India Launch Confirmed

Maruti Vitara Brezza AMT launch confirmed, AMT will be available in three variants.

The AMT transmission will be a 5-speed unit

The Maruti Vitara Brezza will soon be available with an AMT gearbox option. The Maruti Brezza AMT will go head on against the Tata Nexon AMT and will be available in three trim levels – VDi, ZDi and ZDi+. Maruti has also made dual airbags and ABS as standard across the range of the sub-compact SUV and prices too have seen a minor surge. The base LDi now costs Rs. 7.52 lakhs, VDi is priced at Rs. 8.04 lakhs, while the ZDi, ZDi+ and ZDi+ (dual-tone) are priced at Rs. 8.81 lakhs, 9.77 lakhs and Rs. 9.99 lakhs (all prices, ex-showroom, Delhi).

The LDi(O)and VDi(O) trims have been discontinued as ABS and airbags are now offered as standard. There are subtle changes to the exteriors and interiors of the car. For starters, the most noticeable change to the exterior is the black finished alloy wheels. Chrome grille up front, a chrome garnish for the boot door and reverse parking sensors are also offered as standard across the range. A new orange colour replaces the Cerulean Blue colour.

Coming to the interiors, the Maruti Vitara Brezza now gets an all-black interior. There are no mechanical changes to the vehicle and it still continues to draw power from a 1.3-litre DDiS diesel engine that produces 89 HP of power and 200 Nm of torque. The oil-burner comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and an optional AMT gearbox will soon be made available.

Prices for the AMT variants haven’t been revealed yet and we expect them to cost approximately Rs. 50,000/- more than the manual transmission variants.
