1000 units of Mahindra Thar to be delivered during Diwali

Mahindra – After delivering 500 units over the last weekend, Mahindra is now all set to deliver 1000 units during Diwali. The demand for the new generation Thar is tremendous while the waiting period is already crossing 8 months. The carmaker is ramping up productions and have stopped taking bookings for the base AX models for the time being.

Kia – The South Korean carmaker has introduced complete contactless aftersales service in India. They are offering pick and drop service with live-tracking. They have also come up with ‘My Convenience’ program where owners can choose service packages including Pre-Paid Maintenance (PPM) and Care Pack (Car Care Services). PPM covers spare parts, oils and labour. Care Pack includes Preventive Care, Fresh Care, AC Care and Hygiene Care.

Royal Enfield – After a long wait, Royal Enfield has finally introduced their new generation product – Meteor 350. It comes with a new engine along with a range of new features on offer. The Indian bike maker plans to export the bike to Europe and USA next year onwards.

Harley-Davidson – The American premium motorcycle maker has shut their operations in India. They have partnered with Hero MotoCorp for the distribution of bikes across India. However, the existing dealers are not happy with the exit of the company from India and are considering legal action against the American bike maker. Some of the dealers have hired Indian law firm AZB & Partners to review their paperwork.
