Next gen Hyundai Venue to be made in the recently acquired plant

Hyundai is gearing up to introduce the next gen Venue in 2025. The second generation of the compact SUV is set to be the first vehicle to roll off the assembly line at the recently acquired Talegaon plant in Maharashtra.

Positioned above the Exter sub-compact SUV, the upcoming Venue is internally referred to as the Q2Xi. The Hyundai Venue has maintained a strong presence in the market and has achieved an impressive milestone of 4,50,000 unit sales in India.

The new generation Venue is expected to get substantial design changes as Hyundai moves to a new design philosophy that we have seen recently with the Exter and the new Santa Fe. Even the new Creta facelift will get heavily redesigned exterior on the same lines with H-shaped elements.

As always, expect Hyundai to offer some segment first features on the compact SUV. Engine options are expected to remain unchanged. It is currently offered in 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol, 1.2-litre turbo petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine.

The new Hyundai Venue will compete with a wide range of cars including Maruti Brezza, Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV300, Tata Nexon and the likes.

Hyundai has recently acquired the Talegaon plant from General Motors, which is expected to produce approximately 1,50,000 units annually. This manufacturing facility will play an important role in Hyundai’s growth trajectory. The carmaker will focus on producing more EVs from their existing facility in Tamil Nadu.

The upcoming second manufacturing facility is scheduled to be operational by 2025, that’s when the new generation Hyundai Venue will roll out.
