Land Rover has introduced a new flagship iteration of its luxury SUV lineup with the unveiling of the Range Rover SV Ultra. Positioned above the existing SV trim, the Ultra variant focuses on enhancing cabin experience through premium materials, advanced audio technology and comfort-oriented features, rather than making major structural or design changes.
Inside, the SV Ultra introduces new upholstery combinations such as Orchid White and Cinder Grey, along with distinctive detailing like mosaic-pattern perforated seats. The cabin replaces traditional trim elements with rattan palm wood veneer across the dashboard and door panels, while gloss white ceramic finishes are applied to the gear selector and central controls.
The feature list includes a 13.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 13.7-inch digital instrument cluster and rear entertainment screens of the same size. Additional amenities such as wireless smartphone connectivity, voice commands, four-zone climate control and ambient lighting contribute to a high-end in-cabin environment. Rear passengers also benefit from powered sunblinds and air purification systems.
A key technological addition is the new electrostatic audio setup, which integrates 21 slim speakers across various cabin surfaces. Working alongside the Body and Soul Seat system and a Sensory Floor, the setup converts sound into physical vibrations, creating a more immersive experience. The system also incorporates multiple wellness modes designed to enhance relaxation or focus through controlled haptic feedback.
On the outside, the SV Ultra remains visually close to the standard model but introduces subtle enhancements. A new Titan Silver paint finish is exclusive to this variant, complemented by Satin Platinum and Silver Chrome accents. The SUV rides on 23-inch alloy wheels featuring matching inserts and updated centre caps, while discreet SV Ultra badging differentiates it from other trims.
Under the hood, the SV Ultra offers a 4.4-litre twin-turbocharged V8 petrol engine delivering 537 HP and 750 Nm, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. Performance figures include a claimed 0-100 km/hr time of under five seconds and a top speed exceeding 250 km/hr.
In addition, a plug-in hybrid variant, badged P550e, will be available as part of the lineup, although detailed specifications for this version have not yet been fully disclosed.
Overall, the Range Rover SV Ultra reflects a continued emphasis on luxury personalisation and in-cabin innovation, targeting buyers seeking a more immersive and comfort-focused driving experience within the brand’s flagship SUV range.
