Renault Duster Third Generation Debut On 29th November

Dacia Bigster Concept Front

2025 Renault Duster scheduled for world premier on 29th November

2025 Renault Duster is all set to show its face next month on 29th November. This will be the third generation model. The Indian market got the first generation and skipped the second generation. Renault India will be introducing the new gen SUV but we’ll have to wait for it since it will hit the showrooms by 2025.

Based on the CMF-B platform, the new Duster will get new engine options including a 170 HP 1.3-litre turbo flex fuel motor. In terms of design, the new model will take inspiration from the Bigster concept. It will be available in both 5-seater and 7-seater versions. The bigger 7-seater model is likely to be called the Bigster, borrowed from the concept itself.

It is expected to get a modern looking exterior while maintaining the typical rugged looks with thick cladding all across the lower-half of the body and pronounced wheel arches with bulging out fenders that give it a muscular look. We hope they offer a premium looking interior with more practicality and convenience. The first generation Duster had poor ergonomics, very few storage spaces and basic looking interior.

The new Dacia Duster will be offered in the international markets with three engine options. The entry level engine is a 110 PS 1.0-litre turbo petrol unit. Next up is a 140 HP 1.2-litre hybrid engine. The range topping 170 HP 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine will be available with flex fuel technology. Currently the specifications have not been revealed officially. It is yet to be known if it will be offered with AWD or not.

In the Indian market, the new generation Renault Duster will compete with a sea of SUVs including Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Honda Elevate, MG Astor, Skoda Kushaq and Volkswagen Taigun.
