Suzuki Launches Access Facelift, Priced At Rs. 53,223/-

2014 Suzuki Access Launched In India

The Suzuki Access has been in the market since 2007. The company also launched few special editions of the scooter, such as the Access Limited Edition as well as the Being Human edition. Now, the Japanese bike maker has launched the Access facelift in India, priced at Rs. 53,223/- (on-road, Delhi). The facelift is a very minor cosmetic update and does not carry any significant changes on the product. Companies keep giving such minor updates to their products to keep them fresh until a new generation of the said product hits the market.

Coming to the changes featured on the 2014 Suzuki Access, the scooter comes with a new aluminium rear grab handle, new Access logo, steel fender at the front, tubeless tyres, MF battery, a central locking system with a safety shutter and a chrome plated silencer cover. The Access facelift is available in a choice of five colours – Glass Sparkle Black, Metallic Sonic Silver, Candy Antares Red, Pearl Mirage White and Metallic Matte Fibroin Grey. Apart from this, the scooter gets no changes whatsoever. SEP technology was expected but hasn’t been given to the Access yet.

The 2014 Suzuki Access continues to be powered by the same 124cc engine that churns out 8.5 HP of power and 9.8 Nm of torque. It has a self as well as kick start system. The Access has a ground clearance of 160 mm and it weighs 112 kgs. The fuel tank capacity is 6.0-litres while the under-seat storage capacity is 20-litres. The Suzuki Access competes with the Honda Activa 125 and Mahindra Duro. While the Activa (110 and 125 combined) sold 1,91,879 units in July 2013, Suzuki could manage to sell only 13,995 units of the Access.
