Suzuki Let’s Officially Launched, Priced At Rs. 46,925/- In Chennai

Suzuki Motorcycles India has officially launched the Let’s automatic scooter in an event held in Chennai. The Let’s also marks the Japanese manufacturer’s foray into the very popular 110cc scooter segment in the country. Showcased prior to the Auto Expo in January this year, the Let’s is targeted at the young population of the country and the company has made sure to cater to the needs and demands of the youth of today with this product.

The Suzuki Let’s scooter is powered by a 112.8cc single-cylinder, air-cooled, 2-valve engine that belts out 8.7 HP of power at 7500 RPM and 9 Nm of torque at 6500 RPM, paired to a CVT transmission. The Let’s gets telescopic front forks and swing-arm type coil spring suspension setup at the rear. Stopping power comes from 120 mm drum brakes and it uses 90/100/10 tubeless tyres at the front and rear. Suzuki has also incorporated SEP fuel saving technology in the Let’s, which returns a claimed mileage of 63 km/l.

In terms of design, the Let’s does not sport a very radical approach. The scooter gets understated lines and soft curves, much like its contemporaries and has a pleasing stance throughout. Weighing in at just 98 kgs, the Let’s is the lightest scooter in its class. Suzuki has also provided a cut away floor board for ease in handling, while a mobile charger is also a part of the features list. Suzuki is also providing the Let’s with a maintenance free battery, while the fuel tank capacity is limited to 5.2 litres. The scooter is available in 5 colours which include white, blue, black, red and silver.

The Suzuki Let’s has been priced at Rs. 46,925/- (ex-showroom, Chennai). The company had already commenced the bookings for the Let’s a month ago, while the deliveries are set to commence from today onwards. The Let’s will be rivalling the Honda Activa-i, Yamaha Ray, TVS Wego and the Hero Maestro in the segment and Suzuki hopes to snatch a chunk of market share from its competitors. Will the Let’s be able to break the Activa’s dominance in the segment? Only time will tell.
