To shed its image of having only boring vehicles in its portfolio, Tata Motors is coming up with newer and youthful designs for its new products. The company is looking forward to cater to a completely new set of customers with these new vehicles. So, after the Zest and Bolt, the Indian car and truck manufacturer will be showcasing the next big thing, the Hexa crossover concept. As the name suggests, the Hexa is a crossover that will boast of SUV-ish styling and yet it will be compact to manoeuvre around. The Tata Hexa crossover concept will come in a six-seater configuration. The middle row will get captain seats which will provide better comfort than bench-type seats to the passengers. The front fascia of the Hexa looks like a modern derivative of the Aria’s face. The headlights, bumper, grille, etc. are all new but the design theme still looks similar to other Tatas. The Hexa also carries the humanity line like the Zest and Bolt at the front. Future SUVs and MUVs coming from the Tata stable will also carry a similar styling theme like the Hexa. The crossover is expected to come with modern features and a lot of features.

The Tata Hexa crossover will make use of the same 2.2-litre DiCOR diesel engine that also powers the Safari Storme and Aria. The engine will be tweaked to produce 148 HP of power. A production version of the vehicle will be ready very soon and is likely to hit the markets by the first quarter of 2016. Apart from this, Tata Motors is also gearing up to launch the Kite hatchback and compact sedan. After the launch of these vehicles, the company will go on to introduce two new SUVs by 2017, one of which will be sharing its platform with the Land Rover Discovery Sport.
