Tata Nexon Production Version Spied Undisguised

Ahead of its launch later this year, the Nexon has been caught undergoing testing in Bengaluru.

The Nexon will be offered with both petrol and diesel engines

Tata’s answer to the sub-4 metre compact SUV space is finally here, the Nexon. MotorBeam readers Subin Anthony and Chandrakant B.R spotted the car in Bengaluru. The production ready model was recently unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show.

The Tata Nexon is again one more subscriber to Tata’s IMPACT design language. The test car spotted was a scaled down model and probably the base variant. It had regular steel wheels, black door handles, etc. The compact SUV will be offered with both petrol and diesel engines in India. The diesel engine will be the same 1.3-litre MJD unit but the vehicle showcased in Geneva had a 1.5-litre Revotorq unit.

We expect the Tata Nexon to make it to the Indian shores by the festive season this year. The Tata Nexon will go against the likes of the Maruti Vitara Brezza and the Ford EcoSport.
