Tata Safari and Harrier crash test to be conducted later this year

Tata Safari and Harrier are the only two cars in the company’s lineup that don’t have any crash test ratings. The Nexon, Punch and Altroz have received 5 star ratings while the Tigor and Tiago scored 4 stars at Global NCAP.

It’s been 2 years since Tata launched the Safari and 3 years of Harrier launch and finally both the SUVs will be tested by Global NCAP later this year. The Indian carmaker is said to be making some changes to its production line ahead of these crash tests.

Both the SUVs are based on the OMEGARC architecture which is derived from the Land Rover’s D8 platform. Some of the safety features include ABS, ESP, all disc brakes, 6 airbags, hill hold control, hill descent control, ISOFIX seats, etc.

Tata’s flagship will finally be tested at GNCAP later this year
