Tata Motors has introduced the Sierra Jubilee Edition to commemorate the milestone of 50,000 sales of the new-generation Sierra. The special edition will be offered on the Smart+, Pure and Adventure variants, bringing additional accessories and equipment over the corresponding standard trims. Prices for the Jubilee Edition are yet to be announced.
The Sierra Jubilee Edition mainly adds accessories from Tata’s ROQ catalogue, with the equipment varying depending on the chosen variant. The special edition does not introduce any mechanical changes and continues to be offered with the existing engine options.
The entry-level Smart+ Jubilee Edition receives front grille and tailgate cladding, roof rails and semi-leatherette seat covers with Jubilee Edition branding. It also gains a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a rear-view camera and a four-speaker audio system, features that are not available on the standard Smart+ trim.
The Pure Jubilee Edition builds on the regular Pure variant by adding front grille, tailgate and wheel arch cladding, roof rails, semi-leatherette seat covers, a leatherette steering wheel cover, magnetic sunshades, a parcel tray and front as well as rear dash cameras.
For buyers opting for the Adventure Jubilee Edition, Tata Motors has included the complete ROQ styling kit along with front and rear dash cameras.
The Tata Sierra continues to be offered with three engine choices. These include a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 160 HP and 255 Nm, paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. There is also a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine generating 106 HP and 145 Nm, available with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The 1.5-litre diesel engine develops 118 HP and is offered with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.
The Tata Sierra is currently priced between Rs. 11.49 lakhs and Rs. 21.29 lakhs (ex-showroom). It competes in the midsize SUV segment against rivals such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Honda Elevate and Renault Duster.
