Tesla has introduced the 2026 Model Y Premium Rear-Wheel Drive in India. Priced at ₹50.89 lakh, deliveries of the Model Y Premium will begin in India from July 2026.
The new Model Y Premium gets an all-black interior with a blacked-out headliner and premium trim, along with an optional Zen Grey cabin theme for a cleaner, modern look. It also features a larger 16-inch touchscreen with improved responsiveness and a smoother user interface.
The electric SUV offers up to 2138 litres of storage space and can sprint from 0-100 km/h in 5.9 seconds. Tesla claims a WLTP-certified range of up to 500 km on a single charge.
Tesla also highlighted the safety credentials of the Model Y range, with both the standard Model Y and the recently launched six-seater Model Y L receiving top ratings from global safety organisations including NHTSA, Euro NCAP and IIHS.
The Model Y L which was launched last month is priced from ₹61.99 lakh, offering seating for six passengers, a claimed range of up to 681 km and cargo space of up to 2539 litres.
Tesla says it will continue expanding its charging network, retail presence and after-sales services in India. The company is also offering finance options starting at ₹39,990 per month with a ₹6 lakh down payment.
