Toyota Celebrates 4 Lakh Innova Sales With Chrome Edition

Toyota has recently achieved the milestone of selling 4 lakh units of the Innova in India. To celebrate this milestone, the company has launched a new ‘Chrome Edition Innova’ kit specifically for the GX variant of the vehicle. Toyota introduced the Innova first time in Indonesia and followed it with an Indian launch in 2005. This Toyota is the successor of the Qualis and the fame Innova has earned for its comfort along with durable performance is matchless.

The chrome kit includes several chrome elements and moulds to enhance the appearance of the Innova. However, the company is not offering the adornments on the vehicle as a limited edition and the buyers have to pay Rs. 31,000/- for this additional package. The accessory package will be available at all Toyota outlets across the country.

The Chrome Edition Innova includes chrome garnish for the front grille, chrome housing for the outer rear view mirrors and scratch protector for bumpers with chrome insert. The side appearance get beautified with chrome door handle, chrome surroundings for turn indicators on fenders along with the chrome lining for the wheel arch. The rear doors get the bold chrome garnish with slick design chrome strip that runs around the number plate housing and the muffler cutter.

Toyota offers 11 variants of the Innova in India, 8 for diesel and 3 for petrol with a choice of 7 and 8 seat layouts. The 2.5-litre, turbocharged diesel engine generates 102 PS of power and 200 Nm of torque. The petrol engine is a 2.0-litre mill that produces 132 PS of power and 181 Nm of torque. All variants are mated to a 5-speed manual transmission in rear wheel drive layout as standard. The petrol Innova is a rare sight but the diesel variant has been serving customers flawlessly in the commercial market as well as individual buyers who like to opt for the vehicle for their personal use.
