TVS Jupiter MillionR Edition With Front Disc Launched

To celebrate the sale of 1 million TVS Jupiter scooters, the company has launched a special TVS Jupiter MillionR edition with a front disc brake and a few cosmetic upgrades. The new edition scooter is Rs. 2000/- more expensive than the regular scooter.

The TVS Jupiter MillionR edition is equipped with front disc brakes

The TVS Jupiter is often considered as the second best alternative to the largest selling Honda Activa scooter. The two-wheeler features handsome styling, beautiful looking colours and a comfortable ride. Thus people have bought the scooter in troves and now the company has come out with a special edition of the two-wheeler called the TVS Jupiter MillionR edition to commemorate the milestone of selling a million units of the scooter so far.

The special edition scooter will be around Rs. 2000/- more expensive than the normal Jupiter, which currently retails for Rs. 48,809/- (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Jupiter MillionR edition can be opted with a 220 mm disc brake at the front, which is far better upgrade to the 130 mm drum brake found on the regular model.

Most of the changes on the MillionR Jupiter are only cosmetic, which include a new purple colour, a chromed 3D Jupiter logo on the side, beige floor board, dual tone seats and a ‘MillionR Edition’ badge on the front and side. Additional chrome detailing has been provided on the side panels and mirrors.

The TVS Jupiter MillionR edition will be equipped with the same engine powering the current Jupiter. The 110cc single-cylinder mill produces 8 BHP of power and 8 Nm of torque, while mated to a CVT automatic gearbox. While the presence of features such as front disc brakes and the mobile charger is a welcome move, the use of beige on plastic panels and in the footboard may not be such a good idea as it will be the first thing to get dirty on a spanking new scooter.
