TVS Launches New Colours In Phoenix & Apache 160

As the festive season is about to begin, manufacturers start rolling out special editions or new variants of their existing products to boost sales. The Hosur based manufacturer has released new colour variants of the TVS Pheonix and TVS Apache RTR 160. The new colour variant of the TVS Pheonix is treated with Alpine White paint job and body graphics. While the TVS Apache RTR 160 now comes with five single colour tones including white, black, yellow, red and titanium grey. Along with these colours, the Apache also wears a sporty set of body graphics.

The TVS Pheonix comes with features such as fully digital speedometer backlit in amber, digital fuel gauge, low battery reminder, trip meter, service reminder, LED pilot lamp, roto petal disc brakes, all black engine and alloy wheels. It is powered by a 124.5cc engine that produces 11 PS of power with 10.8 Nm of torque, mated to a 4-speed manual gearbox. The Apache RTR 160 is the entry level version of the Apache series, which comes with a 159.7cc engine that churns out 15.2 BHP of power with 13.1 Nm of torque, mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.

TVS has been doing good numbers in both domestic as well as export markets. The company saw a rise of 16% in September sales (compared to the same month last year). The TVS Jupiter was launched last month and has got good response in the market. Although sales data of the scooter is not available yet, TVS’ stock has seen a considerable improvement owing to improved sales and investor confidence. TVS will launch the Scooty Zest in January while performance bikes made in collaboration with BMW will hit showrooms in 2015.
