Why Pulsar Owners Are Obsessed With Ninja?

The Kawasaki Ninja is one of the most desirable motorcycles in the world. The brand name is so strong, that when Kawasaki entered the Indian market, it didn’t have to really advertise much. Meanwhile, the Bajaj Pulsar is the most popular motorcycle in India, with more than 50 lakh units sold in the last 10 years. Clearly Pulsar owners are loyal to the brand, even though the initial Pulsars had a lot of flaws, they stuck by the brand.

With so many Pulsar bikes on the road, many owners want to differentiate their motorcycles. How do they do it? In India, we are obsessed with full fairing and that is the first thing that goes on a modified Pulsar (usually). This comes straight from the Yamaha R15 and so do the head lights. The color is however green with Ninja written on the fairing or the tank. Sometimes there are many stickers and names of various brands written on the bike too.

Frankly, we are not a big fan of such kind of modifications. If some one wants a Ninja and doesn’t have the budget for it, he should modify his bike to look like a Ninja and not a confused soul. The full-faired Pulsar pictured below is the UG2 with lots of confusion all around. What should we call it? Pulsar Ninja R15? Merely adding green paint and Ninja moniker to your Pulsar won’t boost its performance. We particularly like the full-faired black Pulsar 220 pictured above. It belongs to Brajen Borah and has Ninja 650 influence on it.
