Will Pulsar CS400 Change Cruiser Demand In India?

Who knew what Bajaj Auto is talking about when it revealed its plans of showcasing a cruiser concept at the 2014 Auto Expo. This was announced at a KTM event but the Pulsar CS400 has totally blown everybody away. The bike looks awesome and will be India’s first power cruiser. It will be launched in 2015 and should be priced under Rs. 2 lakhs. The CS stands for Cruiser Sports and what better brand to carry it off, other than the Pulsar.

We already have had a lot of discussion on the Pulsar CS400, here is a quick update on its specs. The bike is powered by a 375cc, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine which uses triple sparks. The bike comes with ABS but no figures of power and torque have been disclosed but we expect around 40 BHP and 32 Nm. The most awesome part of this bike is the instrument cluster, there is a speedometer and gear indicator on the tank, a frequent sight in a power cruiser.

Till now, cruisers have been known for lazy bikers. Do you think the Pulsar CS400 will change that? Will people ditch full faired bikes for a cruiser. Don’t you think Bajaj Auto has started a new segment here?
