The Hyosung GD450 gets quirky styling in its prototype form

Hyosung has revealed a slew of bikes at the 2015 EICMA Motor Show including the new GD450 prototype. The street naked motorcycle looks extremely sharp and aggressive with the new styling language. The front cowl has sharp edges having a twin headlight setup that looks off-beat. The fuel tank is quite sizeable and very muscular with cuts and creases running across the body. The side profile looks short and sporty that has a wheelbase of 1360 mm. The instrument cluster is all-digital.

Powering the Hyosung GD450 is a 449cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC, 4-valve, single-cylinder engine that produces 50 PS of maximum power at 7500 RPM and 47.7 Nm of torque at 7000 RPM, mated to a 6-speed transmission. In terms of braking, it gets 300 mm disc at the front and 230 mm disc at the rear. Suspension duties are done by 41 mm upside down telescopic front forks and dual side aluminium swingarm with an offset gas charged hydraulic shock absorber.

Also, the rear set-up gets a non-step preload adjustment. The alloys are tastefully done and it gets 17-inch wheels. The front gets 120 section tyre while the rear gets 160 section tyre. All in all, the motorcycle looks quite promising on paper and the styling is very aggressive. However it is yet to be seen how the Hyosung GD450 comes to life after its prototype testing. We can expect DSK Motowheels to launch the performance bike in India in the coming future.
