Tata Motors has kept the Safari Storme facelift on hold for quite some time now even as sales for the capable SUV continue to suffer. Nonetheless, it now seems that the Indian auto giant is getting ready to launch the facelifted model in the country as the test mules have lost camouflage revealing more details. In these new set of spy shots, the interiors of the 2015 Tata Safari Storme facelift were caught completely undisguised revealing a host of upgrades and subtly hinting towards an uprated diesel engine.

On the outset, the changes inside the cabin of the Tata Safari Storme facelift aren’t as extensive as expected and the vehicle sports a new audio system unit along with Bluetooth connectivity (with audio streaming finally!). The four-spoke steering wheel with controls is all-new while the dashboard gets finished in a dual-tone black and silver colour theme. In addition, the cabin has now been updated with brushed silver inserts all across including the gear shift knob lending a premium look.

On the outside, previous spy shots of the 2015 Tata Safari Storme facelift have revealed that the SUV will come with a new honeycomb mesh grille, revised bumper and mild tweaks to the rear bumper and tailgate. The test mule was also spotted wearing the ‘VARICOR 400’ badge on the front fender, hinting towards a significant bump in power output. The outgoing Safari Storme makes 140 PS of power and 320 Nm of torque and the facelifted model could see the power bumped to 150 PS with the torque hiked to 400 Nm (explaining the badge) from the same 2.2-litre VariCOR diesel engine.
