The brochure of the upcoming Hyundai Verna has been leaked ahead of its launch.

The 2017 Hyundai Verna is scheduled to launch on 22nd August

The 2017 Hyundai Verna will be launching this 22nd August 2017 but a brochure of the upcoming sedan has been leaked well ahead of its launch. Here’s what you can expect from the Honda City and Maruti Ciaz rival.

The 2017 Hyundai Verna will be offered in 4 trims, E, EX, SX, SX(O) and 2 engine options – 1.6-litre petrol and 1.6-litre diesel. The 1.6-litre petrol makes 123 HP and 151 Nm of torque while the 1.6-litre diesel makes 126 HP and 260 Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox.

Measuring 4440 mm in length, 1729 mm in width and 1475 mm in height, the 2017 Hyundai Verna sits on a wheelbase of 2600 mm (30 mm more than its predecessor). Boot space too has increased by 20-litres to 480-litres. The new Verna is based on Hyundai’s K2 platform which also underpins the Elantra.

Like the exterior, the interior too has received a major overhaul. The interior gets a dual-tone (black and beige) treatment. The AC vents, steering wheel and infotainment system get silver finishing. The twin-pod instrument cluster houses a multi-information display in the centre. The infotainment system on the top SX and SX(O) trims is a 7-inch touchscreen unit with Mirror Link, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity while the other variants get a 5-inch unit. Both these units are paired to an Arkamys sound system.

The 2017 Verna comes with dual airbags and ABS with EBD as standard across all variants while 6 airbags are offered on the top variants. Other features include projector headlamps with LED DRLs, projector fog lamps, wraparound LED tail-lights, rear view camera with parking sensors, 16-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, sunroof, ISOFIX child seat mounts, ventilated front seats, cruise control, rear AC vents, sliding front armrest, leather upholstery, start-stop button and automatic climate control.
