The much awaited new generation Octavia’s official image has been leaked, it looks similar to the Superb.
The Octavia is one of the most popular cars from Skoda, specially in India. It has a huge fan following specially because of the styling and its fun to drive nature, more so with the RS version. Ahead of its global debut in November, the new generation Octavia has been leaked and the image reveals its styling details completely.
At the first glance it’ll look like a Superb but if you notice the overall profile and silhouette, it is very much like the Octavia. The styling is now mature, the butterfly grille has grown in size, the headlights are sharper with integrated LED DRLs while the front bumper looks very similar to the one on the current gen Octavia RS.
The side profile of the 2020 Skoda Octavia looks more or less the same but the new alloy wheel design is quite eye catchy. The interior hasn’t been revealed yet but going with the minimalistic Skoda design, we believe it’ll be classy and tech loaded.
The new Skoda Octavia is based on Volkswagen’s latest MQB architecture. We can expect the new model to be more spacious and bigger in dimensions than the outgoing car. Skoda will be offering multiple diesel and petrol engine options along with mild-hybrid powertrains as well.
The 2020 Skoda Octavia is expected to launch in India later in 2020. The introduction of the new Octavia in India will make things exciting in the D-Segment space. It will compete with the new Honda Civic, Hyundai Elantra and the Toyota Corolla Altis.
