2021 MG Gloster Price Hiked By Up To Rs. 80,000/-

MG has rolled out yet another price hike for the Gloster in 2021 and this time, it is the top-of-the-line Savvy variant that has seen its asking price increase by the biggest amount.

The base Super 7-seat 4×2 variant that is powered by a 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine (163 PS and 375 Nm ) has not seen its asking price increase and continues to cost Rs. 29.98 lakhs (ex-showroom).

But, the same cannot be said for the rest. The 6-seat Smart 4×2, also powered by the 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine, is now priced at Rs. 31.98 lakhs (ex-showroom), which is a hike of Rs. 50,000/-.

Up next, both 6- and 7-seat versions of the Sharp 4×4 variant, which have a twin turbo version of the 2.0-litre diesel motor (good for 218 PS and 480 Nm) under the bonnet, now cost Rs. 70,000/- more at Rs. 35.38 lakhs (ex-showroom).

Finally, the variant which has seen its cost increase by the most in this 2021 MG Gloster price hike is the top-spec Savvy 4×4 6-seat variant (powered by 2.0-litre twin turbo diesel motor). It now costs Rs. 36.88 lakhs (ex-showroom), which is dearer by Rs. 80,000/- to its earlier asking price.

This is a stark increase in the asking rates of the SUV that was launched in October 2020 in India as the carmaker’s flagship product with prices set between Rs. 28.98 lakhs and Rs. 35.38 lakhs (ex-showroom).

When the introductory pricing period got over on 31st October, the carmaker rolled out a price hike which saw the car’s asking price increase by up to Rs. 1 lakh to be retailed between Rs. 29.98 lakhs and Rs. 35.58 lakhs (ex-showroom).

Earlier this year, MG once again increased the SUV’s prices and fixed the Gloster’s asking rates between Rs. 29.98 lakhs and Rs. 36.08 lakhs (ex-showroom).
