2021 Rolls-Royce Ghost Extended
Whomever thought the Ghost did not have enough legroom, this one is for them

Rolls-Royce has launched the Ghost Extended and the luxury car’s price begins from Rs. 7.95 crores (ex-showroom) before options.

Two launches from Rolls-Royce in the same month is something even the folks at Goodwood might not be accustomed to. Nonetheless, the brand has come up with the Ghost Extended that commands a premium of Rs. 1.05 crores over the “regular” Ghost.

As the name states, the luxury car has been extended, with the wheelbase being stretched by 170 mm and all of it has been transferred between the front and rear seats to offer rear passengers exceptional legroom.

In fact, only the Phantom Extended has more rear legroom than the Ghost extended, making Rolls-Royce’s intentions quite clear.

This increase in length has not spoiled the design however. The carmaker made the choice only to extend the rear doors and body panels around the rear door apertures. So, the Ghost Extended looks as classy as the shorter wheelbase model does.

As with any long wheelbase car, the magic is only seen inside. If the stock seat is not for you at the back, then adding some more cash over the Rolls-Royce Ghost Extended price would get a reclining “Serenity Seat” that the firm says rivals the comfort offered by the cabin of high-end business jets.

Further, between the rear seats is a fridge that the brand has developed together with a Master Sommelier. This means the drink customers place inside the fridge would be maintained at optimal serving temperature and there are even two cooling modes to suit vintage and non-vintage champagne.

Apart from these standard changes, the Rolls-Royce Ghost Extended retains all the features of the regular Ghost such as laser headlights, auto parking function, 100 kg acoustic damping materials, air filtration system, trick new suspension for the “Magic Carpet Ride”, among many others.

Powering the Ghost Extended is a 6.75-litre twin turbo V12 engine making 563 HP and 850 Nm which is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission.
