New Suzuki Hayabusa India launch confirmed officially for 26th April. The legendary Suzuki Hayabusa is back in its new generation avatar.

In terms of styling, it carries the same DNA but with a more polished and futuristic design language. It has a very similar bulk along with fresh detailing of modern styling elements.

It comes with new LED headlight and tail light units. New bodywork includes new ram air intake, side panels, mirrors, flyscreen and rear seat cowl.

The updated 1340 cc in-line four-cylinder engine meets the new BS6 emission norms. It produces 187 BHP at 9700 RPM and 150 Nm of peak torque at 7000 RPM.

Due to the strict emission norms, the new Hayabusa has dropped 10 HP and 5 Nm of torque. It has a claimed top speed of 299 km/hr.

This motor is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with slip-assist clutch. It weighs 262 kg and has a 20-litre fuel tank. Features KYB suspension and Brembo Stylema brakes.

The Japanese bikemaker has put in a host of electronic aids such as 6-axis IMU, ride modes, lean angle sensitive traction control, launch control, etc.

New Suzuki Hayabusa India launch was much awaited but it is expected to be much more expensive compared to the outgoing model. It is likely to be priced around Rs. 16 lakhs (ex-showroom).
